Joe Rickard
Joe Rickard works with communication and technology organizations to improve their sales and operational effectiveness.
He is an outstanding motivator and speaks frequently at industry and corporate events. He is the author of Value-Based Pricing provided by Xerox to their customers worldwide. Joe is the author of over 60 articles on marketing, sales, sales management topics.
Before running a startup and entering the consulting business, Joe has managed significant business and marketing organizations as a senior executive at Xerox and Sharp Electronics. During his 21 years at Xerox, Joe managed large marketing organizations.
At Sharp Electronics, he was the President of the Communications and Systems Group, on the Sharp US Board of Directors and directed a staff of 400+ with annual sales of $1.2B. Among his accomplishments at Sharp, led the reorganization of financial, leasing, product planning and administration organizations, and rebuilt their major account sales and support.
Joe is an adjunct Marketing Professor at Dominican College in NY. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Hofstra University, NY and an MS in Education from St. John's University, NY. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Palisades Institute at Dominican College. The organization provides programs that leadership and ethics for the local NY & NJ business community.
Michael Malarkey
Michael Malarkey leads global market growth & development for Treliant as a Managing Director in its Washington and London offices.
He has extensive experience helping clients respond to regulatory scrutiny in the U.S. and internationally, including AmLaw 25 law firms, global external counsels, and Fortune 50 general counsels. His expertise includes investigative forensic accounting, fraud investigation, anti-corruption/anti-bribery remediation, complex dispute resolution, eDiscovery, and corporate monitorships. His thirty years of experience include roles in financial institutions, accounting and advisory services consultancies.
Prior to joining Treliant, Michael led strategic business development initiatives for Alvarez & Marsal, Forensic Risk Alliance, and Berkeley Research Group, serving clients in the Americas and European Union who required investigative due diligence, compliance program counseling, and complex functional litigation support in the anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering areas. He has also served as Director of Disputes and Investigations at Navigant Consulting and Director of Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services at Ernst and Young.
In his career, Michael has investigated allegations of financial misconduct in sectors including financial services, pharmaceutical, life sciences, energy, construction, insurance, and private equity, and he has conducted broad dispute resolution including computer forensics, electronic discovery, and cybersecurity. He has performed investigations on behalf of special committees related to alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and similar compliance violations, whistleblower claims, False Claims Act matters, and improper revenue recognition. He has reviewed internal financial control processes and procedures evaluating compliance under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Scott Brian Clark is a partner and senior member of the Dentons US LLP Tax Practice where he focuses on state and local tax planning, audits, appeals and litigation. He Chairs the firm’s national multi-state tax practice. With more than 30 years of tax and legal experience, Scott is well-versed in the intricacies of state tax planning, audits, tax litigation and legislation.
Over the years, he has handled a vast number and variety of high-profile cases and issues, and has attained significant tax expertise representing both prominent entertainers, ultra high net-worth individuals, and well-known domestic and multi-national corporations. He has also served to advise emerging growth companies on financial and legal matters. Earlier in his career he served as the Associate Tax Counsel for GTE (now Verizon) and later as a partner and co-leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ national multi state tax and legal services (TLS) “Communications” industry practice.
